My husband often comments on the importance of having the right tool for the job. Where would a carpenter be without a hammer? Or a baker without a rolling pin? Or a hockey player without skates?
Tools of the Trade takes a light-hearted look at the favourite tools in a quiltmaker’s studio:
- Thimble, pin cushion, pins and needles
- Rotary cutter and ruler
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing machine
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
These are the tools that help make our quiltmaking successful.
I think it’s the same in life. Without the right tools – tools like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – it’s hard to do a good job.
