Techniques: Machine piecing, hand papercut appliqué, machine quilting

 

The design for this quilt originated with the discovery of a block named “Shepherd’s Light”.  I developed the shepherd theme by incorporating imagery from the 23rd Psalm:

 ~ green pastures and still waters ~
~ rod and staff ~
~ a table prepared before me ~
~ the house of the Lord ~
~ my cup overflowing ~

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

The Lord is my shepherd.

His Spirit is my strength.
