What a thrill to see my Spring Snowflake block featured once again in the quilt Snow Blossoms and on the cover of Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Spring 2013 issue.

Julie Domenico from Timmins, ON attended a Sewflakes workshop last September and created a snowflake of penguins during the class. Here is the completed quilt.

The first issue of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks was released in November 2009 and sold out within months. The reprinted issue goes on sale January 8, 2013. I was honored that my block Spring Snowflake was chosen for this magazine.

The quilt Tools of the Trade depicts some of the favorite tools in a quilt maker’s studio. The pattern for this quilt is available in my book Sewflakes: Papercut Applique Quilts and now you can also take a class to get started on your own version of this quilt.
